Prof. Dr. rer. oec. Helmut Krcmar | Founding Dean and President's Representative for the TUM Heilbronn Campus, is a German business information scientist and economist. He conducts research in the field of digital transformation, information and knowledge management, platform-based ecosystems, management of IT-based services, e-government and computer support for cooperation.
Short vita: Helmut Krcmar studied business administration at the University of Saarland and received his doctorate there in 1984. After several stays abroad, he held the Chair of Business Information Systems at the University of Hohenheim from 1987 to 2002. In 2002, he followed the call of TUM, where he held the Chair of Business Information Systems until 2020. Today, he heads the Krcmar Lab at the TUM Faculty of Computer Science.
